1912 Rambler

Text of ad reads-

"It's 38 horse-power, five-passenger, with 120-inch wheel base and 36 x 4-inch wheels and tires. It's long, it's low, it's roomy. Low, with drop frame-long, with front axle set forward and strait line torpedo body. Roomy, with 27 inches from front seat to dash and 30 inches from seat to seat in tonneau. No outside door latches. Enclosed ventilated front and hooded dash. A car of exceeding beauty, finished in English Purple Lake-it's a rare shade of deep maroon-trimmed in nickel. Radiator to conform to body lines, high and distinctive in appearance. Fenders with sweeping grace. Powerful brakes. Rambler ejector manifold, a simple aid to power-it makes the engine hustle. In the ordinary engine every charge is of four parts fresh gas and one part burnt gas. The ejector manifold removes the fifth part burnt gas and every explosion in the Rambler engine consumes five parts of fresh gas. Result-power increased 25 percent. To drive this car is exhilarating. It runs like a spirited horse. You touch the throttle and it's away. It's the Rambler Cross Country and the flag-bearer for 1912."

DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS

It's just a short time ago that we were impressing on the motor-car buyer the merits of the R-C-H. Today, so tremendous has been the country-wide appreciation of the wonderful R-C-H value, that we are force to come to you with another message: "Speak quickly if you want one."

No other car in the history of the industry has ever approached the record made by the R-C-H. A few short months ago the R-C-H embodied a personalty, a factory and a car-name. Today we have cash deposits on thousands more cars than were ever sold by any other organization during its first year. And every day dealers are writing, wiring, telephoning-imploring us to increase their allotments.

Frankly, we underestimated the wide-awakeness of the average buyer. Of course we realized that a car with R-C-H construction and equipment would be a big seller at the R-C-H price. But where we figured in the thousands, we find a demand for tens of thousands.

Many of our friends-more's the pity-will be disappointed. And so we want to impress upon you again the necessity for prompt action. Get in touch with your nearest R-C-H branch or dealer at once. For if you can't get an R-C-H, and want a car as good, you'll pay a thousand dollars more.

Left-Side Dive Center Control Any other than a left-side drive is not natural under American road rules. It is a wonder that American motorists tolerated a right side drive for so many years; a greater wonder that American manufacturers retained it. The drive on the R-C-H is left side; the control is center lever-outof the way, yet convenient to the operator's right hand. The body is the graceful, roomy English type, recently made a feature of a few of the highest-priced American cars. Greater accessibility; greater interchangeability due to the extensive use of drop forgings; ideal spring arrangement; perfect braking system-there are dozens of R-C-H features that must be seen to be appreciated. Let us show them to you."
